Default lamda location asap

hi all , under the car looking for my lamda sensor (1995 euro spec wagon) which i think is the same as the uk model. i believe it should be under one of the heat sheilds on the exhaust manifold ,but which one? i cant see any cables and the only sensor i can see is the one in the downpipe between the turbo and the cat. this sensor is a bosch with 3 cables red ,black and white. can anybody help whilst the car is up on the ramps. cheers all.
i am changing the sensor because i just failed my emissions-CO sky high and lamda low 0.8. last week i did a check and the co was zero but the lamda was high 1.4. my back box had some holes so i put an original one on. thought this would cure the problem. however today had sky high CO 6.0 @fast idle and 3.0 @ idle and lamda is low @0.8.
any thoughts

Sounds like thats your sensor bud - if it was after the cat it would be the cat on fire one but pre cat after turbo should be the lambda.
They are normally on the passenger side at the bottom of the manifold on this year - perhapse it was moved.

just changed the one between the turbo and the cat before i read the last two posts. however after changing the lamda signal voltage is now cycling whereas before it would only cycle when the motor was hot after 10 mins of driving. if have i changed the wrong one how come the signal output is now different?

Someone has probably moved it. Did you see a blanking bolt in the headers?

Like i said mate, some poeple move them. They get paranoid that if left in the header the sensor will break up and end up as turbo fodder.
