Default did some welding now wont start!

hi there guys i was welding some mock boost pipes in my engine bay that my mate is going to copy for me in ally, anyway, i went to start the car afterwards, - No spark! has anyone experienced this before? what do you think it is and how to test it?
ive tried another ecu i had laying about but that made no difference, i wonder if its fried anything?

Jeez, you could have fried anything, from the coilpacks to the ecu to the alternator to the battery.
Tell me you had BOTH poles of the battery disconnected?

When welding on any car it is best to use a battery safer to stop surges mate.

Yeah dude, hope you had the battery disconnected.

nope, didnt have my brain on and forgot to disconnect battery! lol, what governs spark on these engines? its a 1993 import engine i believe, the one with 4 seperate coil packs

If you have the earth clamp close to the area of work then you shouldnt have done much damage at all tbh

yeah, it was on the pipe i ws welding, just im getting no spark off any coil no, what can knock out spark on one of these engines? tried new crank and cam sensors and ecu! aargh its frustrating as ****

Right... It's still not safe, but i've also welded a lot of times without disconnecting the battery, but always with the ground cable really close to the weld point... Never had a throuble...

Ive never once pulled off the battery leads just put a battery saver on
