No worrys fella, normal cure for this in my workshop is to drop out oil and replace and put some FORTE top end treatment in and take for a run to get it round the motor and up to the lifters, thats the first port of call,
But obviously without actually hearing it i cant be 100% sure it is the lifters

Engien out, head off, sort it out, but then you may as well do both heads and gaskets.

Hoping it won't need that, she was supposed to be selling it ? So that isnt going to happen until it's 100% sorted, thanks for advice

Well there isn't a way of sorting it without taking the engine out the car and ripping the head off. I mean you can leave it, but if its REALLY noisy, then yes it needs doing... just as bigger job as head gasket really, well , it is, with added part of doing the lifter lol. Garages charge around 1300-1600 for the job if they know what their doing with scoobs, dealer, more, someone on here or me, cheaper but depends if it DEFO needs doing or if you can get away with it.

Best option [if you can] is video the noise and post it up.

Yeah nice when its easy to sort out but i think his headers blowing could be more in depth work if the nuts are seized on
