The word "cheap" normally sums it up, cheap = naff, naff = fails soon after you buy them.
Buy good ones to start with, Harvey on here does them, pm him, dont expect to pay 150 quid though, but you wont have to buy them twice

Hi Dave
1. If you want reach 350BHP,you will need more than headers(VF35,34,TD05-16G orTD05-18G,bigger injectors 550cc,uprated pump etc.)
2. With equal header you are loose rumble
3. 25BHP without Dyno print out,its just word against word(this is its same debate about decated exhausts, without proper remap you will see small gain, but with proper remap you will see gain in BHP)
4. Don't go now for headers,if you have plan to remap,i recommend you contact here Headers Guru Harvey(search for "Harvey")for ported headers, which are good and tried and tested with many customers here.
At last don't go for cheap headers from eBay,these headers are good copy GT Spec which cost twice, but last maybe 3 months(some guys says just 1 month and crack),but is up to you,if you willing pay for headers which last few months, don't worth money at all.

thanks for replies guys, dont worry bout the 350 bhp bit, got bigger injectors and pump and 16g,

only reason i was debating it is that i have been given a stainless uppipe and i have a decat in, so was just thinking shame to have them without headers.

to be honest guys from what u said i will leave it for now.

question is , is it worth throwing the stainless up pipe on and will that do anything for the car with standard headers?

You might lose spool if you fit it as its not designed for your headers. Speak to harvey, he's the man for this, you can buy the right up pipe to suit turbo, along with ported and polished headers. Standard headers are good up to 400bhp

i'd just decat the up pipe and stick with the standard ones for your target power

as long as you have a good mot centre of course

In your circumstance the best choice is ported OE headers which come to you DEI heat wrapped with a purpose designed uppipe for your turbo/spec. Also DEI heat wrapped with five new studs.
This will give you the best torque and bhp per £ spent.
