Could be a mechanical FCD John, simular to this. Is that an adjuster and a lock nut on the very end??.

Even better, where is it 'T'd' off from, line 1-2-3 or 4?

Not good for your engine if it is a FCD mate. Means you will be running 'lean' at WOT (@1.5bar very lean) as the MAP is not getting the correct info to the ECU, which will cause DET, and eventually .

Have you got a AFR gauge fitted John??

Right, personally, i would remove it John.

Not sure what the factory boost/fuel cut is on your MY, i would think around 1.1bar. That little gadget is allowing you to run 1.5bar, thats 40% above your 'safe' level, and all of that 40% is unseen by the ECU and therefor unsafe.
In simple terms, you are fuelling for 1 bar but running 1.5 bar

Your ECU is not chipped is it??

Yet another FCD

Found this on another forum, by our very own Tidgy;

"Last tie i heard of a superchip on a scoob was when it was giving the car trouble, it was rippd out and car ecu reset nd sloved the problem.

the super chip prevents the ecu seeing the boost level produced by the turbo, also removes one of the defending cut features as well, can't remember which ione of the two it is though."

I would take them both off John, they are both by-passing you ECU's safety features, and therefor endangering your engine. You might even find the car drives better without them.

ummm i will do it so it can be pugged bk in if any unexpected nastys pop up after the removel of it(and ecu reset).. but as you say it might be a better drive without it, but it will have to be tryed and tested so il keep you up dated on it. soon as it stops bloody raining down hear i may have chance to do it.

Yeah, good idea John, it might even get rid of that little hesitation you have.
