Default Headgasket

Cut along story short back in jan/feb I have a engine rebuild on my classic, uprated rods, piston, heads skimed, new headers, radiator etc has been running fine. Once run was set up at ScoobyClinic and made a nice 324bhp. Until today once i got home i felt when it was idling a noticabe movement in my chair, the engine was rocking a little. Turned it off and waited ten mins and turned it back on and white smoke out the exhaust. The AA have inspected it and done a compression test and not holding any pressure and can see water running out the exhaust header gasket underneath. They say its the headgasket, i have dropped it off at the garage which did my rebuild but surely a headgasket shouldn't go with just doing over 5000 miles on the new build.

Just need a bit of advice and ammo incase the garage fob me off saying i have caused it as its only done just over 5000miles on it/7months since the new rebuild

unfortunately headgaskets dont have a certain life span, failure can happen anytime, could be manys reasons why it failed, faulty water pump, thermostat, rad,to much boost etc etc

Tuning a car can weaken the gaskets as it wont be running safe until the final run. But 5000 is low. Take a look at the gasket, post come pics up of it here for advice on what people's thoughts are.

Water or moisture can come out of the exhaust on cold starts but if its hot and its doing it then its defo hg's but as mentioned they don't have life spans as such,if the motor wasn't built right that may have something to do with it,maybe incorrect torquing of the heads?have you got standard bolts or arp stud conversion mate?

That could be your trouble there[not for sure though mind],there was a bloke not to long ago on here that did his hg's and then a short time later had trouble's and it turned out the bolts had gone slack and he hadnt used new bolts either, also i know that different data sources give different torque sequences like auto data 3.18 is different to tolerance data on my computer at work so id wait till the garage has a look and see what they say but unless you've been ragging it to death you shouldn't anything to worry about, the warrenty should hold up fine.
