Hi, I am new to scoobynet and was just after some advice. I have an 06 Sti which I was told was Andy Forest mapped to 360bhp and has got pops and bangs added. I know from driving it that there is no way it is 360bhp. I have a blitz nurspec exhaust on it. Does anyone know what power I could be achieving with the right remap and also any reccomendations on remaps?

Cheers

Best way how to know your power output/BHP is Rolling Road.
Where are you based?

As Jura has said mate. Only way to find out.

How do you mean doesn't feel like 360bhp? Remember the 2.5 lump will feel a little lazy etc mate.

Check with Andy to confirm the remap and any estimation of power.
Sounds like a typical remap figure for the STi.

That's about as far as it can go without a turbo change, at which point it is also time to look at new pistons.

Do you have it on the correct map? Full throttle and double tap the rear demister, it could be on the low boost map.

No, havent had it dyno'd yet. That is the next stage for me. Looking for someone to work on it with regard to remaps etc aswel. Need to get the pops and bangs taken off. Had a leon cupra before this which was running @ 300 bhp and this just doesnt feel as fast.

Also wasnt aware of the full throttle and double tap the rear de mister. Is that a standard thing with these remaps?

These wont feel as quick, their power is more progressive normally, I once did 155mph on the autobahn and didnt know I was doing said figure until I looked down at my speedo

Yes, especially with Andy's maps.

Do you have a boost gauge fitted as this would tell you which map it was running.
If it was only boosting say...10 psi it would be on low boost mode as opposed to say...... 20 psi.

Your best bet is to email Andy for more info.

As for pops and bangs.. it would need another re-map to remove them. or slow down more gradually through the gears so it doesn't come into play.
