Default BC coilovers fitted - whats the best setting for stifness?

Hi guys

fitting these coilovers this weekend so the car will be ready for scoobyshootout.

what would you say would be the best settings damper settings?

cars mainly used for fast road use, i dont mind it being alil stiffer for the shootout and then i'll turn them down..

but what do those who have used them recommend?

just so i have somewhere to start from and then play about with till im happy

Cheers

On mine, iirc, there were 26 clicks on the adjusters from hard to soft. I set them at 13 each.

After driving it a bit, the fronts have been stiffened two clicks, the rears softened two clicks. It seems to ride better with less pitching on ripply roads.

I was advised to run these on the soft setting I maybe 4 from soft for a while to allow the coilovers to bed in before going hard with them

Did you not specify what spring rate combination (front/rear) when you ordered the kit?

Fair enough!
I would imagine it could be tricky to recommend a sensible damper setting without knowing the spring stiffness?

Just to add to this.

I had my suspension setup by the guy who sets the cars up for DCY, and he said he had a lot of BTCC experience.

He said to have the suspension softer than the rear, maybe 4 clicks. And if on the track, start with the suspension soft, and progressively get harder to suit.
