too good to break?
just bought a k plate classic in silver, engine has been cooked and is a bit rattley. only bought it cos wanted few bits off it then was gona break it but the interior and body is immaculate not a spot of rust anywhere, do i drop a new engine in and mot and sell car or do i strip probably one of cleanest early classics and send it to the crusher?

what model 'k' plater???
I would think that dropping in a new engine is the way to go as long as the rest of the car is in good nick and servicable.

give some tlc mate & give it some pride back - its what im doing to mine. Mine was 50/50 for buy it or walk away. Eager to get back into a scoob & it was a bargain price, i thought what the hell! Only had it nearly two months & spent nearly £1800 on it to get it to my standard of road worthyness!!!!
got loads to do but its a scoob at the end of the day & if you look after it, it will look after you & bring loads of smiles everytime you drive it.
Dont worry about the age/plate as long as its looked after, it will be a great car to own
do the right thing & keep it!
