Changed maf still cutting out but revs seem better
Car started playing up just cutting out at low speeds and revs all over the place. Replaced maf as that was the error. Now it runs, idles fine but keeps cutting out. Like loss of power from battery everything just dies. Always at low speeds?
Alternator? poor earth?
Any ideas as really stumped now. Left to idle car is fine but when I go out I notice it's dropping to 800 revs instead of the normal 1200 it normally sits at.

What year car?
Was the maf a new or used replacement?
1200rpm is not a normal idle speed target for a warmed up, standard engine anyway - 800 is closer, depending on MY and ECU fitted

1200 cold so 800 okay once running?
used so im wondering if its a duff unit. I want to sell car so spending another 300 after having spent 2k on a engine rebuild *sigh* isnt great, but could be only option. Just trying to eliminate faults.

Blimey mate i have just done the same thing, secondhand sensor and cuts out when idling or slow speed coming to a stop.
I am buying a brand new sensor tomorrow, as havent driven car since.
