Fuel Pressure regulator at Fault ?
On a classic
symptoms, It fires up fine/starts as it should,But starting when left overnight for a few seconds ,it starts, but only at say 300rpm then gradually increases thru a few seconds to the correct rpm, once running at correct Idle its fine all day no matter how many stop/starts/restarts etc
I have a slopped driveway
if i face the car up the slope, pointing up the hill, it does the above thing
If i point the car facing downhill,it doesnt
So,fuel regualtor allwoing fuel to seep back or fuel pump at fault ?
Also,is there 1 or 2 regulators, on each bank of injectors or just the 1 on the drivers side ?
And lastly, are the Regulators the same for the whole range of subaru 2 litre engines, N/A and turbo, as i have the chance of a free regulator from a legacy 2 litre etc (same as startor motors/fuel filters etc are the same)
cheers

Only one reg. The one on the drivers side. If you turn the key and you hear the pump prime and then stop it will have reached set pressure, if you turn key and pump keeps priming without stopping, the reg could be knackerd.
