Bent Intercooler Fins
I have already done a load of searches and found out how to do it, just wondering if there are any real dramas caused by tearing any fins during the process?
As far as i know the charge air passes through the inside of the vertical sections inside the intercooler and what you can see from above is only a mesh designed to give maximum surface area access for air to get into the cooler. correct?

Yep.
Fins are to increse surface area for the colder air passing over the intercooler, the charge air is inside the hollow tubes.
You can get a fin straightner from Agrimech for a few quid. I used to use a tooth pick!
