Question ENGINE LIGHT

Hi well last week my speedo started acting up then packed up altogether, Then a few hours later the engine check came on and the car would not let me past 4000rpm. This is happening on and off now clears its self then happens again. I checked the codes on the dash and got a 33 speed sensor and a code 24 which there are three differant options.
Has anyone had this problem or no anything about the speed sensor?
Thanks
bry

a common failing point on classic, just get another speed sensor from the breakers mate as the stealers charge a small fortune for them
Make shore you check what type you have best to pull yours off and take it with you so you get it right mate.

when looking from the front its down on the drivers side of the gearbox just beyond the down pipe,if you've got your heat shields still on then you might need to get at it from under neth mate

you will find its you speedo cable, or speedo delimiter if fitted, if your car reads in mph then it stands a good chance that its the in-line speedo delimiter, you need to check first before going speeding on parts.

Would this make the engine light come on and hit the rev limiter at 4000rpm.
