GC8 Wind Noise
I am getting wind noise through the drivers side window at any speed over 100kph.
How do I solve this as it gets extremely annoying when cruising on the freeway.

Bit of masking tape over the front of the offending area to pin point the noise.
Over the glass where it meets the A pillar first to see if it's that,
Then over the mirror body where it sits next to the wing,
Then where the door sits next to the wing.
This should help you find the location before you start stripping it down needlessly

I'm with Buff01 on this possibly being down to the wing mirror. My96 WRX used to make a lot of wind noise through the passenger side and I traced it down to the wing mirror not being held on tight enough, and the foam padding inside the small triangle plastic cover not being positioned correctly. New plastic triangle with padding was only a few quid from the dealers. Goodluck and really hope its not the window seal.

Then alter the angle of the glass so that it pushes into the rubber with more or less force. It's a balancing act between easy door close and no noise!
Mine used to be OK until you moved the window then it used to whistle. Had to open & close the door to shut it up again.
1/2 hour with some spanners and all was well.
A good idea would be to compare the position of your door glass to another car. Pay attention to the door gap as the glass touches the rubber and the height of the glass relative to the mirror.
Also inspect the rubber for wear marks. It could be that some one fitted it incorrectly recently and the old wear marks will help you figure out where the glass should sit.
Hope this helps... it is logical when you look at it!

Have someone sit in the passenger seat constantly blowing a vuvuzela. You'll soon forget about the wind noise.
