Running this on a completely open deck engine being used for track use, drag use and weekend toy.
I would of course always recommend using the strongest block your budget will allow.

Alan @ Enginetuner is confident that a 2.0 S-CDB will get into the 500's safely...
My turbo is too small for that, but the nitrous might do it (?)

My standard 2.5 case with forged internals has taken in excess of 600bhp.
If you are talking about a 2.5 block you need to be realistic about reliability at this level (500+) IMO.

Estimated flywheel power from the Q16 race fuel hub dyno runs at Tracktive. 527bhp at the hubs with a pessimistic loss of 12% equates to nigh on 600bhp at the fly. Turbo is the same AET GT30 standard position as used since 2008.

IIRC JGM mapped a car with an open deck to around 540bhp and its still going. S-CDB may well take more, either way OD or SCDB no guarantee its going to last lol.
Im running 425ish on a Standard 02 sti engine there are folk out there running more!
