A'PEXi 3-PORT BCS QUESTION...???
I've just bought a nice STi 5 to replace my old 93 WRX. Love it! 
I intend to fit 20g/550s/FMIC, etc. I'll prob get a Simtek for mapping purposes. I have a Apexi 3-port BCS lying around which would control boost more accurately than the OEM 2-port... But can it still work with the Simtek (rather than its bespoke Power FC) though?

Yes and the Simtek and that will control boost very well indeed.
