Hi guys,

Just wondering what the best fully synthetic oil to use is? As ive got a brand new engine going in on sat

10w/40, 10w/50, 15w50

use a mineral oil to do the run in miles but the garage should advice on this

Ive just got a new stroker from Engine tuner as have been told not to put fully synth in till at least 2000 miles have been done.

Halfords advanced mineral oil is fine for running in. I changed the oil 3 times i think upto 1500 with mineral.

Then FS or semi Syn. Speak to oilman for his advice

after which time do i switch to fully and start booting it? or can u give it abit of welling on mineral oil?

Dont boot it at all on mineral oil

much apprieciated on this, ill wait till running on fully s until giving it some as i dont want to go through another engine

You can run a 10w40 semi synthetic oil for running in, then run that type of oil for 5k miles, then change to a fully synthetic, though it does depend on the engine half the time
