Default whats your weight

iv been trying to loose some weight on my04 sti, better power to weight = faster and better handling was the theory so lost the spair (wheel ofcourse), and got some lighter weight team dynamics pro race 1.2's, d1 wheels nuts, oddysey lightweight battery pc680, and usual exhaust mods getting rid of heavy cats etc,
went down the scrap yard with a mate and they were nice enuf to weigh my car for me on the weight bridge, came in at 1380kg think the standard weight is 1470kg so well happy
any one else had there car weighed? any other ideas how i could loose some more weight without getting to drastic

1380! Thats not bad at all. Even 1470 is not bad. I had a Alfa 156 V6 that moved the scale to 1320KGS, the Subaru awd system does not seem so heavy after all.

I'm in the same boat,

prop shaft guard somebody told me to take off...not sure what it is and how to take it off tho...standard seats are heavy,Aircon setup can save 10kg if IIRC?.

how's that new battery? seems awfully small, has it gone flat yet? how long can it be stood without going flat?

the scrap yard may have a shy weigh bridge...if you know what I mean...irrelevant tho really...the weight you take off is the same weather it be a heavy car,or light car.

aircon and all interior plastics from the rear along with the rear seats and carpets etc etc, thats what i done in my classic, i havnt had it weighted however, im guessing the rear bench seats must be 25kg on their own judging by the weight when i took them out,m not sure what the weight of a my94 sti wagon is stand\ard, but its a damn sight lower now than before, i only did it to make up for the fact im to old to go on a diet and im quite a big bloke!!!!! lol

really happy with the battery so far i have a trickle charger tho, really good cranking power starts up better than my old full size battery (but i think it was about nakerd) iv left it for 4days before in still started fine think reserve power is alot lower than standard, manufacturers weights are for a brand new car tho i.e spec c 1400kg once there worn in e.g brake pads and discs have alot less meat on them, tyres, etc id thing they'd weigh less anyway
i do doubt scrappy weigh bridges are the most accurate scales tho lol
