Exhausts UK
Booked my car in tomorrow for my backbox swapping over.
Got a Mongoose 3" turbo back decat with 4" rolled in backbox and im having the backbox swapped for a 5" slash cut jap can as im hoping this will make it abit louder and the scooby burble more noticable as its quiet discreet on mine.
Just wondered who else had hadwork done there an what there opinions where?

Well, they are the Cobra manufacturers aren't they?
Anyway, I've not heard a bad word said of them from members on here.
My mate had a DC2 and went down there to have a custom back box fabricated and I can vouch it was top-notch quality - certainly for the price he paid - and made that mental VTEC sound like a genuine pseudo-touring car. It was mad!

I have a decat and centre from them, not the same quality as something like a blitz, but it is half the price. My biggest gripe is their 3" system is actually a 2.75" system - the OD is 3"

Thats what im hoping, with a 3" turbo back decat i was expecting big noise but is actually really quiet, im hoping as a jap can is not a silenced backbox likethe mongoose it will free up abit of noise plus mine looks poo!
I used to have an EP3 and phoned them for a system but went with Buddy club but i heard they are mad on Vtechs.

Well, if the Jap-style one you already have ends up being a disappointment, then just replace it with one of their off-the-shelf Cobra items, while you're there.
I have a 3" decat d/p (but OEM-sized 2.5" centre flange) + Cobra 3" system. Very loud. Please note that obviously the straight through centre and decat d/p are responsible for some of the loudness - really noticed it got louder when got round to adding the decat d/p to the system.
Maybe not as "tuneful" as a Nur Spec, but still loud and raw, and really amplifies the off-beat burble...

Well im back now and i have to say they are very friendly and provide a great service, exhaust is exactly how i wanted it but maybe a little more slanted than i asked for.
Its alot louder for ditching a silenced backbox and it actually sounds like a proper scooby now so im officially happy..........but for how long ha ha!
