Default Lexus maf the same as Subaru newage?

I came across a site while browsing for info on maf sensors.
http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/kno...v2&id=152&c=11

Now is it me or is that identical to the newage?

It might have a different plug but it wouldn't be at all surprising to find it's otherwise the same part, yes.

This is far from uncommon - different manufacturers often use standardised or slightly customised versions of a standard part, as it reduces costs. As has been said though, you can pretty much guarantee that the sensor bought from a Lexus dealer will be considerably dearer than when bought from a Subaru dealer.

By way of example the 99-00 Impreza airflow meter design is used on a stack of other cars - albeit, as above, with a different shape plug on the end, inc BMW and Porsches. When I enquired about the Porsche part last year it came out as something close to £400. The Subaru one is just over £100.

Fair comment, I wasnt necessarily looking for cheaper models (Lexus? HA)
But for pattern parts etc it may be handy to find whatever marques that use the same denso type.
