Default Error code 42. driving me crazy!!

Hi there, got an my94 WRX and I keep getting a code 42 from my ECU, which is Idle Switch if I am correct?
i have cleaned out the one on the car and this gets rid of the code for a couple of days then it comes back.
have now bought a recon one, and it has done the same.
the part I have replaced is ringed in RED in the piccy, someone has said that it could be the bit in GREEN as this can affect it? What is the bit in GREEN?

Hi the bit in green is the throttle position sensor.

Reset the ecu after both times of changing. This is the thing, have never had what I would call irregular idling. It will sit at 900 and then I'll move off and 2mins down the road it will be at 600 at the next stop; but not hunting up and down.

Cleaning the ISCV (red) won't make any difference to the "idle switch" fault.

I'm not that familiar with pre 97MY cars, but the switch will either be part of the TPS function (green) or a seperate switch, possibly on the accelerater pedal.

Hmm, this is sounding like I might have to take it to the stealers, which I really didn't want to do, unless anyone can recommend someone in the kent area who is any good?
