If so, that's as good a place as any ^^^ - nice and sturdy bracing from the TMIC's frame.
.
Although some people reckon that for greater accuracy then it needs to somehow be plumbed so that the sensor is protruding direct into the plenum chamber???

Sorry, I don't run a a Simtek with an iat - I'll leave it to others who have (as you asked) ........

Yes it is the intake Air temp sensor, does the sensor plug not foul on the rubber stripe that sits ón the scoob , or does it not interfear with that, just from the pics it looks close

but thanks, i was thinking that i had to weld ón a boss ón the ic to tap, so it could be mounted in that, but the Way you did it looks much eacyer
and it not so great to put in into the manifold becouse of headsoak.

thanks
Skassa

just popped out for a look and there is about 1" (2.54mm) gap between the sensor and rubber strip.

This is on a 98 Type R

A lot of people contrive to strap it around the short IC-TB hose, so that the sensor pokes through into the airstream within said hose.

They sort of hold it with a hard resin glue like Araldite or liquid metal, to stop it popping out under boost. Externally, not the most elegant solution though
