Classic Saloon to Coupe re-shell
Its a thought that has entered my head. When slowby blows up and needs a drivetrain/engine i might buy a coupe shell and start from scratch.
But other then looks, is there any gains to be had? Are the coupes any better handling then a saloon with it being smaller? are there weight differences?
Just curious, not saying il deffinatly do it, but coupes are growing and growing on me and im 25 in a couple of years, so insurance will be realistic atleast

I think the 3 door shell is actually quite heavy as id imagine a quarter panel weighs more than a door. I would have thought a 3 door chassis would be stiffer.
Is a 3 door shorter? I would have though it would have been the same size. Considering you can fit type-r drivetrain to any car.
