hey can anyone help me got a 98 sport with speedo top speed of 140 mph also rev counter has 8000 rpm can i refit any speedo cluster to it say 160 mph and will it register speed properly as i cant find white dials to fit this model the cluster has from left to right fuel gauge,temp gauge,speedo then rev counter help please guys or any gals

 

I thought the Sport was a UK car and had the dials mirrored to the JDM cars?!!! i.e.

UK
LEFT> temp - TACHO - SPEEDO - fuel <RIGHT

JDM
LEFT> fuel - SPEEDO - TACHO - temp <RIGHT

The 140 dial is correct and I don't think the 160 or 180 ones will work as they'll simply be overeading if you fit either.

You simply need the whilte dial 140 kit but as said, I believe it's reversed to what you say yours is i.e. I'm sure they are as per the UK layout above - so the dials will be handed the wrong way around!

Are you defo sure its the same as the JDM dials pattern - can you go and double check, to make sure?...

 

OP please ignore my post above - that info is for a pre-MY97 fascia! Sorry (going mad lol).

I'll hunt ebay for you to see if I can find the correct kit for your ph.1.5/2 style fascia...

ive tried ebay but no luck so far but if you find any please let me know like the white dials just cant seem to find them in correct order for my car

 

Yep nothing available at the mo.

There're a couple of whole binnacles on eBay, but one of them is from a JDM and has got 180 white dials in. The other is a UK one... but for a turbo, so has the 160 white dials. Damn!
