Default Intercooler Question

Hello, i have a MY96 wrx 260ps, it has a TD05 and a Z4 ecu as standard the ic is the small slanty 1, my question is can i fit the larger tmic from an STI with out having it mapped.

yes mate but is does take a little bit of work because the later cars inlet manifolds sit further forward and give more room. you'll have to cut bits to fit and then it still may knock on the bulkhead a bit, you'll also need to adapt the metal tray on the bonnet so that more air can get onto the intercooler.

so i won't need a re-map then, i have seen the work involved so i don't mind that

have just fitted a newage wrx i/c into my 97 classic and doesnt involve to much work.
