HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posting this for Chris Dicko, he's just set off on a drive across Europe and suffered a breakdown in Slovakia. Can anyone help with diagnosis? Chris has given me the following description of what happened:
"Noticed oil pressure was slowly going down, checked oil and it was bone dry, filled up with oil and all ok then 300 miles later a pop in the engine and tons of white smoke billowing out the exhaust".
Can anyone help, daft question but what could this be? He can get the car to a subaru dealer out there so is contemplating shipping a short block out. Anyone know if Lateral, Pennine, Engine Tuner, Clinic, Zen or anyone else has built short blocks in stock.
Thanks Dave

Big and failure is the 'obvious' conclusion to draw. Or catastrophic turbocharger failure. Either will happen if the oil level gets too low.
Let's just hope that it's 'only' the turbo (but also that nothing has gone into the engine as well!).

Cheers Dave for the thread!!!
It turns out it is the turbo!
