Default Urget Turbo HELP

In relation to Daves thread that he started for me about a problem with my car when I broke down in Austria.

I managed to get it to Slovakia which is where I am having my holiday and Christmas, and my girlfriend is from here.

My car was take to the Subaru garage, and luckily one mechanic came off his holidays to sort it for me which is great.

He has tested the engine and all seems spot on. I did get a big end bearing noise at one point due to lack of oil, but this hasnt occured since, and he cannot hear anything wrong at the moment either. Although, I will have to plan a rebuild soon I think.

But, the intercooler (front mount) is full of oil, and he has found the turbo is knackered!!!

It's a MD321T from Lateral Performance which is still under warrenty as I bought it in June last year.
Thing is, I need to get home next week, and obviously cannot send the turbo back to England for them to have a look at, then them fix it, then it get sent back here to be refitted, then me drive home again!!

They have an authorised Garrett dealer 2 hours drive away which will rebuild it etc, but need to know the model of it. As the MD321T is what Laterl sell it as.

So, what model turbo is it? I know there are some secrets with the turbo. But really need help identifying what it is in order for them to fix it for me so I can get home on time and not loose my job!

If anyone know Mark from Lateral well, please could you forward this to him so hopefully he can give some advice?

Thanks a lot
Chris

Hope you can get it sorted and get back home mate.

The MD range are Garrett hybrids built by Turbo Dynamics.

The oil feed pipe should connect to a small threaded union that has a 40 thou (approx) hole to restrict the oil supply to the roller bearing core.

Which IIRC is a GT30 or 35 unit.....

dunx

P.S. Was just wondering if this was why the oil "ejected".

Im not totally sure, as I didnt fit the turbo. I would have imagined so as the garage fitting it knows what they are doing. Also, the turbo has been fine for the last 6000 miles I think.

Im not sure why the oil was ejected to be honest, and due to being christmas the garage is now closed. I want to try to sort it asap though and get home, lol.
