Default Do all classic Subaru's have...

stiff accelertors? Not as in it getting stuck or anything, just compared to my previous cars it's a bit tougher to push. You have to be more aggressive.

Thanks

It shouldn't be stiff at all....

Check the routing of the cable is correct from the bulkhead through the engine bay.
Remove the cable at the throttle body end and check the cable inner runs smoothly through the outer of the cable.
Check the throttle cable linkage on the throttle body has a smooth action.
Check the pedal moves freely at it's hinge point in the pedal box.

Well, they're not 'terrier straining at the leash' hair triggers like, say, a Pug 205 GTI's is, that's for sure. But they're not 'sticky', if that's what you mean? I suppose they are a bit resistive...... but just as well they're not like a 205's, as you'd lose you licence pretty quickly lol.

It's definitely not sticky but far from being like a 205 accelerator.
Yeah i didn't think about that, you would be going fast all the time without trying lol.

Thanks

Part of the perception of the throttle's 'reluctance' will be the psychological effect of the before/after transistion of the boost coming full on, don't forget

For peace of mind, just check everything from the throttle pedal to the throttle body linkage, and lubricate all the moving parts with a light oil like 3in1 or WD40.

The last thing you want is a sticking throttle

I had the throttle stick wide open on my own first ever car (Fiat Supermirafiori 1600 TC) at only 18yo, and only a few weeks/months of passing test. Bloody put the wind up me, I can tell ya.
