Question ** 3 port boost solenoid help**

hi, just bought a 3 port boost solenoid for my MY00 uk classic. does anyone know if i fit this as a direct replacement or is it not as simple as just swapping them over them over in terms of the way car runs? i am aware that theres a t peice that is removed and thats where the 3 port at top goes too. if ive got that wrong feel free to correct me.

cheers

Pipework needs reconfiguring and you'll need a remap.
What are you fitting a 3 port for?

A 3 port solenoid can be run in the std 2 port configuration until remap time, but its response may still upset the car.

Yes, better to wait. Get the pipework and electrical connections ready, but your best option is to drive to your mapper with the current setup and then fit it all with him - unless he says different.

Aside from anything else there are a couple of different ways to connect a three port and your mapper may have a preference.

There's not much point doing the "three port in two port mode" between now and then, because, as has been said, the boost will probably still be wrong, and ultimately you may as well do it once and do it right.

Typically fitting a three port and not adjusting the wastegate duty maps results in lower boost being run. The correct connections for a three port (Subaru type) are these ...

As above. Fit it once you arrive with your mapper to avoid any problems.
