Insurance repair = headache!
Afternoon chaps!
Just got my beloved bug back from the bodyshop it was being repaired at, following it getting stolen!
Well to say i missed her was an understatement (2months it was there!!!)
However i have found a catalogue of issues, and i was wondering what you guys think in regards on where i stand with moaning about it to my insurer/shodybop!
1. the n/s a pillar paint is flat as a witches booby!
2. they replaced the battery and on the drive home i noticed a rattle from the engine bay- popped the bonnet to find the battery had been fitted with it crushing my xenon light wiring, causing the battery to sit pi**ed, and the monkey who fitted the battery assumed just not fitting the battery bracket would be better than struggling with the c**k up he made.
3. the oil level is over filled by 2 litres easily!!!
4. various black trims from the front bumper to the windscreen scuttle have overspray on them.
5. wheel arch flitches are not held in with expanding black plastic rivets, but are held in with masking tape!!!
6. the car had a respray yet the front bumper is scratched to hell.
7. the valeters who cleaned it left the carpets absolutely soaking wet so the interior is constantly misted up!!
Whats the best course of attack?? as to say i'm unammused is the understatement of the bloody century!!
Thanks in advance
Matt.

I had A problem when I had my Classic Repaired, the paint was a slightly different colour. I got in touch with the repair company and they fixed it. However In your case there is more than Just a colour mismatch, I would contact the Insurance company Informing them of the problems stating you are not happy with the repair and want all the problems fixed at a dealer of your choice.
Did you sign a Disclaimer saying you were happy with the Repair ? If the Garage is doing 2nd rate Jobs the Insurance company would want to know about it I would hope.

Just got of the blower to the insurance company. I did sign something upon picking it up, but a said to the insurance man that it was dark and raining so i wasnt able to see evrything. Once i got it home and inspected it in daylight i got a nasty suprise!
Anyway they said i need to let the bodyshop sort it as its their c**k up they have to fix it. IF it's still crap after that then i can take it to somewhere else. I hate having to pay such a HIGH PREMIUM for such a poor service.
