the differnt types i have been told are:

I tried 5w40 cfs and my car rattled so i drained it and went to 10w50 and that is much better.
I think i read somewhere that most blown engines that API see have been run on a 5w
I run a standard 53 wrx that is garaged so is unlikely to see really cold temps.

I asked the question once to the Oilman at Opie Oils. His answer was 10-60 for a newage and 10-50 for a classic. That was for Silkolene Pro S though, but should be the same for Millers.

We would have said 5w-40 or 10w-50, not 10w-60 as we usually advise against that.

Always been curious as to how an engine 'blows' using a 5w

Cheers

I always use millers cfs 10-60

I have never had any problems while using it and I track my car every month so it gets a bit of abuse

I don't know exactly what they did to the car, but tuners often think that any car needs a 10w-60 when it has been modified, but can't give a real explanation when you ask why

My apologies, looks like I remembered the newage wrong (I've got a 1995 classic, thats the bit I remembered correctly). Knew it was a grade different, 50/50 and I got it wrong

No reason why you cannot use it.

Cheers
