#4
What leaked out the exhaust , was it smokey ? The gasket is the one that links the turbo to the manifold, i got a genuine subaru one.

What ever you do, dont use exhaust sealer. If you put on too much of the stuff it overflows into the pipe. Once hard and brittle it stands the chance of breaking off and heading into your turbo, not nice.

ive used genuine subaru ones yes and ive removed the headers and re-fitted them 4 times andon a diffrent engine when it was re placed with the same subaru ones i bought and no probs...only one i have that needs 2 in place is where the uppipe connects thinks its cos there hks headers and ome up pipe so it just done fit right so i use 2 gaskets there
i some times run a thin blade like the thickness of a hack saw blade into the middle of the lyers of matal and just tease and open the inner ring out a bit if they have been compressed if you know wat i mean by that
