What does the ECU know about oil pressure as standard?
Was wondering what the ECU knows about the oil pressure as standard. The reason I ask is that I have a PSI3 that gives me some info about oil pressure but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't have an after market oil pressure sensor fitted.
I assume that there must be something that measures oil pressure as standard as otherwise how does the ECU know to put the oil light on when the oil level gets too low?
Would an after market oil pressure sensor give better info - more accurate / more responsive info?

Yeah no probs, PM me your email. Saved in RR .hex form, hope that's ok. Also working on a tweaked version that gives much better low end throttle response. Working very well so far but still tweaking and logging. Don't want to damage anything...

The PSi3 will need connected to a Defi oil pressure/temp sender before it can display them. You then have to connect the sensor to certain pins on the PSi3.
You can find instructions on the net but if you cant I can scan & send them to you.
