Question

Does any one know the capacity of the Impreza fuel tank - I've got a Version 4 Type-R and would like to know before I add octane booster.

Also, is the fuel gauge accurate...? What I mean is for example, if the tanks capacity is 40 litres, does 1/2 tank on the gauge mean I have 20 litres of fuel left, and a 1/4 tank on gauge mean I have 10 litres of fuel left?

Any help much appreciated.

madness, pretty sure the capacity is 60 litres. the gauage is not totally linear, the top half is pretty accurate, but there's still quite a lot left in the tank as the needle is at the end of the scale - 9 litres maybe?

i'd double check the sidc faq, there's a section on fuel etc.

Either 50 or 60 litres.

50 litres before 1996 according to the SIDC FAQ - not 100% sure if this applies to STi's though - should do.

You get about 30 miles once the fuel light has come on - with casual driving!

I've put in 61/62 litres at the most - that was once the fuel had, erm run out - on an sti5

1/2 tank = 30 litres
3/4 tank = 45 litres
full = 60 litres
