Not sure if a single plate will do, but a twin plate certainly will. I have a cusco/exedy twin plate from API. Done plenty of full bore standing starts and it is 100% fine so far. I am over 500 of each.

im currently using an exedy twin plate carbon clutch takes a bit of time to get used to but great apart from that.

OS Giken twin plate for me, with the push-pull convertor the pedal is lighter than a standard clutch but a little noisy. Also use an exedy twin plate in my other car and the pedal is harder than the giken but is not as noisy.

I bought it second hand for £500 with the push-pull convertor but brand new I dont think there is much in it.
