What to do and what BHP? HELP!!
Hi I have a 2004 wrx with ppp but want to get remap so does that screw the ppp?
Iv got full 3" Decat system Turbo back, AEM induction kit, Walbro 255 fuel pump, pink injectors, Front mount intercooler and can have a Garrett T28 turbo to fit this week off a mate if I want or buy a vf35, just means spending more.
So thinking of remap once this is done, I am in Milton Keynes. Anybody know of any decent remappers around me and what sort of price and BHP to be looking at.
Thanks

sounds like your going down the same route that I have, my car is an 05wrx and had the ppp when I got it, dont know about the T28 but otherwise your setup would be similar to mine with the vf35, you could expect somewhere in the region of 340 - 350bhp with good torque too. As soon as you get that little lot on and a remap you are effectively wiping out the ppp. The ppp on a wrx is different silicone intercooler hose, a remap and something else that I cant think of just now
hope that helps

I don't know why most mappers seem to be using ecutek anyway? Maybe it's easier/faster to tune or something, but you can probably get the same results using the open source tools as well (e.g. I believe dynamix uses OS tools to map his car).

Btw, is the T28 off a subaru? Just that I've never heard of anyone using one of these on a subaru before, so check that it will fit as a bolt on (everything can be made to fit with custom pipework, but it's major pain in the backside to build it - IMO).
If it's not a bolt-on, I'd be tempted to just stick with a subaru specific turbo.

yes mate remap straight away!!!!!!!!!!!!! book yourself in for a map, then get your turbo, pump, injectors fitted either the same day or the previous day. As Pete says do not drive on boost at all, it means the trip to the mapper will be slow, I kept mine to below 2500rpm which meanti it took twice as long to get to Bob ... !! but you will have a lot more fun on the way back
