Default VF35 ON MY WRX, WITH ALL MY OTHER MODS MADE 331BHP

For anyone out there that wants to know if the VF35 is any good my answer is a definate YES!!! I was choosing between the VF34 & 35, i asked subaru what they used in the 2004 WR1, it was the VF35! So i went with that!! Got a Hayward and scott up pipe and downpipe, with the blitz nur spec r exhaust. Got the STI TMIC and the 565cc pink injectors. Got a flat panel green filter and samco hoses. Nothing else to declare on the engine and 331bhp with 340nm of torque. This seriously feels nice, she pulls like crazy and carrys on pulling right the way through.

Good aren't they, a 2nd hand bargain, mine had one as std. (2002 STI), and it's doing a similar job on a classic now.

Enjoy !

Remember that the VF34 is a roller bearing turbo (low friction) with a slightly larger housing than the VF35 (sleeve bearing), its fitted to elite cars like the S202 and the early Spec C RA's (pre 2003 twin scroll models).
Interesting that you only got 340nm of torque? do you mean lbs? 340nm is like 250lbs of torque, most jdm 276bhp version cars (classics) had more

im 340+ on a vf34 as well hehe

shortversion is i think add around 10bhp for the 34 over the 35, spool is pretty much the same, but the cost of a 34 is normaly double a 35 cos you can;t find then second hand for love nor rocking horse poo

the VF35 is a great wee turbo, i got 370 bhp and 364 lbs ft of torque out of mine and the turbo still had a baw hair left to go!!!! (my injectors, 550cc ran out of puff before the turbo)

I think he means 340lbs... its running at 1.5 bar of boost so I'm sure he got the nm/lbs mixed up there

my 07 wrx on a td05 standard turbo is making 340 ft/lb torque at 1.2bar and 330 bhp on a vf35 is nothing special these can be tuned to 350bhp and equal torque on a 2 ltr and near 400 torque on a 2.5 ltr.

Currently running a VF34, 331bhp 333 torque on 97 Ron fuel, i would see more on V-Power etc but we cant get it here.

Just to add Newage STI Pinks flow 505cc!! Not 550 or 565!
