Sill removal trouble on a Classic
Hi,
I'm currently waxoiling the underside of the car and I've decided to remove the sill covers to do the sills. Where the car has been jacked up on the jack points needs doing on both sides and the only way to do it, is remove the sill covers.
Anyway at the weekend I decided to remove them and start work. The screws are very badly corroded so I removed the first one (rear part of the sill) rear wheel arch fairly easily. However the next scew down is just turning in its hole and won't come out. Does anybody have any idea how to get the swine out? I can't understand how it’s doing it.
Any help much appreciated.

i removed mine last week to spray them. 2 of the 4 screws were turning and not coming out. so undid all the screws that would come out and then pulled the sill carefully to one side and slipped it over the screw. you need to use a little force. When i finished i just slipped it back over.

if i rember right the screws under neath are only into plastic raw plug type things so you could apply a bit of leverage and then try to unscrew. the leverage will help the thread to bite instead of spinning.
