Well you will lock the rear wheels up and the diff will take the strain, but for how long before it breaks? who knows, its not recommended on any subaru that is not fitted with the DCCD and open diff, which you can use the handbrake on

Hahaha

The good people of scoobynet could never condone such an act!

To be fair, I've wondered about this one myself..... Never risked it though...

Common sense would suggest its not going to do the diff any good at all though I would imagine.

Isnt a non DCCD center diff a viscus one? And so should be ok with a HB turn?

And is the DCCD diff truely open enough for locking the rears?

For the speed of rotation to be significantly different, then damage may occur.... but just how fast are the front wheels turning when the rears are locked ?

Mine goes round a treat....

LOL
