Question turbo re-build question?

im looking at buying a repair kit for my td05 16g turbo, will i have to get it re-balanced if i was to rebuild it? (straight swapping parts no larger blades or anything like that)

Cheers

I have rebuilt a few with success and have never had it re-balanced. Although ensure that before you strip it all apart you scribe a line accross the compressor side, nut, shaft and compressor wheel to ensure it all lines up upon assembly.

Also uprate the thrust plate on the turbo for a 360 degree version as it usually costs an extra £7 or so.

Good Luck

Had mine recently overhauled by TurboTechnics and they balanced it as part of the "refresh service", total cost was around £220
