The turbo may struggle to make 350bhp but it wont be far off, as a side note it will make for one hell of punchy A/B road car.

Chris was yours on a 2 litre though? As a 2.5 will make less bhp but quite a bit more torque on the same turbo compared to a 2 litre.

Your right Banny. Apologise. Mine was on a 2litre.

I was running at the time:
De-catted 3" exhaust
standard VF35
standard 550 injectors
K&N CAIK
EcuTek

Probably not relevant though like Banny says.

My 2 litre made 340 bhp, so with headers yours may do better ?

The 2.5 has much nicer bottom end torque tho'.

dunx

P.S. I know of a couple of 2.5's making 300/360 on std turbos.

With the equal headers and up-pipe I reckon it's entirely possible to reach your 350/350 goal.

As said, if anything it'll be the turbo asking the rest of the mods, "Hold on lads, slow down a bit - I can't keep up!"

It's OEM fitment on the Blobeye STi v.8 (and Bugeye STi v.7), I think. The STi Hawkeye gets a VF43.

You prob. would only need Walbro 255 fuel pump, full decat system and remap (don't necessarily need uprated headers/up pipe/new TMIC) to max out the VF35. It should make south of 350bhp...

cheers joz,so which would be the best as regards 'bang for buck' in your opinion, the vf35 or the vf43 on the 2.5?what bout the vf39??
so ill be looking at :
200 pump
80 good plugs
1000 decat
1000 turbo
500 map
would the oem clutch last long??

is the vf34 a bolt on upgrade for the hawkeye wrx or does it only apply to the older gda/gc8 type...its just there seems to be a really good deal on this setup in some shops.
