z4 is the ecu.
Speak to Scott t at PolarPerformance for either a generic map or a full remappable daughterboard supplied by Enduring Solutions Limited .

chips have a preset map on them.
Although more expexsive the daughterboard will be mapped specifically for the car (mapper sits in passenger seat and alters the map as you drive)

With the chip it should run straight off.
The Live board it wouldn't work at all as it doesn't have a map on it to start with (as far as i know)

Default little warning

not sure if u know this mate but i got a z4 ecu
and i think i'm right in saying it wont have the socket
for the eprom chip and will need soldering, i know mine doesn't have the
socket, i'm going to order a chip from scott at polar, i have heard great
things about him on here. im also pretty sure he will send u the socket for no extra cost

any tv repair specialist or pc repair shop should solder it for little money,
or if ur handy with a soldering iron u could do it yourself, just something to consider
