Changing crank shaft oil seal advice.

Changing crank shaft oil seal advice.
Hi,
I think either my crank or cam shaft oil seals have gone, and im trying to determine to get it done or do it myself.
It looks like changing the cambelt is easy enough to do, and i was wondering what steps beyond this are required to get the crank oil seal out and back in?
If im going the crank seal. what else should i do. Id want to keep costs to a minimum. Dont wanna be spending 200 quid on a tensioner kit.
Cambelt clearly will be done, woud like to do the tension but dont know where to get one cheap, should i also replace all the cam seals too?
I would have to take the pully's off so how can i ensure the cams would remain in place so i dont have to re-time if i did the cam seals too?
This can be done with the Rad in and just the fans removed right?

It might be wise to tighten the screws on the back of the oil pump if there loose and i would recommend you get some pulley clamps as it would make it a lot easier. Also you might as well take the rad out as its a piece of **** to remove

As above always a good idea to inspect and service the oil pump on replacment of a warn crank seal. Also makes life alot easier if the rads romoved.

I never removed the rads, it was easy enough to get to. But, the crank toothed cog was a mare to get off, as above , a puller would help, although the cog is so tight to the oil pump, i don't know how you'd get it behind it.
Also as above , the pump rear screws do come loose, remove them, apply a little thread lock, re fit.
As for the tensioner, it may be ok. Use a vice to slowly compress it, till the holes in the shaft and body line up, then insert a pin(i used a small allen key) to hold it. If it leaks when you do this, replace it. If not, and it compresses well, then it should be good to re use.
