Default oil getting very hot

hi.
just wondered if anyone could shed some light on my problem. over the last couple of days my oil temp has got a lot higher than normal even when driving normal. if i start boosting it goes over 100c so i can hardly boost now. any help would be grateful.
cheers jono

cant help much mate but you really need to take it easy until you get this sorted as when the oil is too hot it will lead to big end failure. i hope you get it sorted.
what ecu/map are you running? how much boost?

120 degrees is hot, and that was with track work!

I suspect you just have cheap poorly calibrated gauges

Agree 100 degrees isn't that hot, I'd worry at 115....
What's your "normal" reading ?

mines hitting 100+ just giving it a bit, without much boost. i've not priced an oil cooler up cos i didn't need one before so why does it suddenly need one now? i'd rather find out what the problem is. also forgot to mention its a 2.5 so don't know if that makes a difference.
