Default fuel pressure

Hi, Want to set up my fuel pressure and ive got a gauge to check inline. Just wondering does it matter where i plumb it in? Between the regulator and the metal fuel pipe at the manifold or the fuel supply from the filter.
Cheers,
James

fit it on the return pipe after inj, set to 3bar without vacuum pipe or lower depending on what boost ur running, if u have 1 bar boost set to 2 bar with vacuum pipe conected. if that makes sense.

Do you have an adjustable FPR? If not you won't be setting your fuel pressure.

If so, don't follow the advice above, as well meaning as it is, it's incorrect.

Standard fuel pressure is nearly 3 bar atmospheric(without the vacuum pipe attached) - which relates to 2.5 bar with the vacuum pipe attached.

I have an adjustable fpr, so 3 bar is what you set them to or can you go more?

Wink

Mine is set to 3 bar atmospheric.

You'd be best off asking a professional about higher fuel pressure than that though, I just bolt things on and drive the damn thing.

3 bar atmospheric will be fine for most appplications, higher pressure is normally mapped in with higher power cars, you can't put it after the FRP on the return either, It needs to go inline before the FPR does it's thang or you will not get the right reading

sorry for wrong adv, thats how i was told to set it up by another member and it worked fine, till i set mine to 3 bar and connected vac pipe.

any1 make a pic then of where is best to fit fpr on a parallel system, mines after inj on renturn pipe so it hold the pressure behind for the inj to have correct pressure?

On a parallel system, you'll split the feed so it feeds the right and left rails at the same time, the join them back together for your return. This then goes to the FPR to hold the pressure in the rails.

My set up isn't parallel, but a pic below of how it's fitted;

Feed in from the end of the fuel rail in the left hand port and the return to tank out of the bottom.
