Default MY95 ECU............

Howdy.

After installing a Apexi Power FC ecu I decided to open up my orginal Z4 ecu and noticed a red board, to me it looks like an add-on of some sort, does anyone know what it is and is it mappable or anything like that?

Cheers

its either a a vos chip or a scooby ecu (polar performance chip)
as far as i am aware they are not mappable unless you can go to the person who built it and ask them to put a different map on it.

It's a very early one of mine.
It's what we called a ScoobyECU and is a name that gets appled to most chips/adaptors that are found or sold for the MY93-96 ECU nowadays.
Your ScoobyECU Adaptor basically emulates the 16-bit 27C1028 device that was available for Group'N' mapping, using the 2 8-bit devices with the labels on.

Probably dates back to around 2002/2003 as is Version 9 on the labels.

Does that mean it can have other maps put on it by you then Scott?
Could you tell me what sort of map it has, like for boost etc.

Cheers.

Without looking through all my records, I would say it's a 15.5psi map.
Not sure what the base map would be though, either W6 or Z4.

Would you be able to put another map on it, or would I have to get a new board?
