Default Cold running - help appreciated

I have a 2008 Forester 2.5 Turbo

When it's cold it runs roughly at 2500 rpm. Just a little shuddering and jerkiness but quite noticeable, and only at this rev level.

The dealer says "they all do that". Do they? If so is it emissions equipment? or what?

Appreciate all responses to a new Subaru owner

Many thanks

Hi, If the fault is occuring on cruise at 2500rpm it could possibly be the O2 sensor not responding as it should but for a dealer to say they all do that is'nt very professional unless they've said that its emissions related, which may have been documented to the dealer from subaru uk?. Has it been plugged in to their diaganostic equipment?
Cheers
James

Hi
Classic Joe - there's no induction kit fitted, but thanks for the idea
jdc1, and everyone else, - the posts suggest that there might be a sensor error here somewhere. The car's a few hundred miles from a service so I'm going to take jdc1's advice and get the dealer to run some proper tests and/or give me some documentation about it from Subaru. I'll come back to the string in a month or so and post what happened, although in the meantime any other thoughts welcome.
Thanks
Stephen

Change your dealer (and you think I jest!!)
No honestly, depending where you are, your not restricted to the dealer you purchased your car from, there are different qualities of dealer out there (some being considerably better than others) so its worth finding out who the good ones are

Thanks for that. I'll see if they give me some proper help or,as you say, go elsewhere.

Right.....

Been to a dealer (not supplying dealer) today. They emptied or cleaned or something the engine management computer, and reloaded it. Something about a bit of rogue data? As you can guess, computers not my strong point.

Anyway - it's fine now

They were very heldpul, and also suggested that I run my Forester on Shell V-Power (which I was anyway). People on this forum probably know that.

Thanks for the help
