ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS?

The only way i can think of is to take the inlet manifold off, which sounds like too much hassle just for a pipe

Forgot to say its a 97 classic

if your replacing it with a samco then cut it and pull it out. The samco should squash up enough to go in but will still be a pain, the easy way is to remove the inlet manifold as you say

Can you not unbolt the inlet manifold, then just lift it a little, leaving everything still connected to it to give you more room?

To remove the old oe pipe with out cutting it you would have to take the manifolds off and remove the fuel lines because the big breather that goes to the dv gets caught.

I snapped all the "branches" off mine to get it out, but still needed to lift the inlet to get the new flexible silicon hose on.

After having another go at getting the oe intake pipe off i have now decided to lift the inlet manifold off so i can remove the oe pipe. Im not really sure on how to do this, apart from removing the header tank and the 4 bolts that connect the inlet manifold to the engine what else will i need to undo and is there anything i should be careful of?
Any help would be great

i did mine without taking the inlet manifold off.if your not bothered about breaking the original one just drag it out and if the new one is a silicone one the breathers will bend enough to push back through.only problem then is its a cow to push it back onto the turbo.

i have broken off the branches on the turbo side of the air inlet pipe but the old one still wont come out it looks like a fuel line bracket is in the way.
I would rather not take the inlet manifold off but cant see how the old pipe is gonna come out without taking it off.
