Default HHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPP........

Help please dudes.
just put a chip that i got off ebay in my 94 wrx wagon and now its developed a flat spot between 5k - 6k, feels like it looses boost or struggling for fuel.
any ideas guys?

i had this problem on mine i uprated the turbo with chipped ecu and was told it needed walbourg fuel pump ie uprated fuel pump as it need more fuel hope this helps mate

Chip off ebay doesn't sound good.
An uprated fuel pump may help (Walbro is about £80) but i would suggest that a rolling road will actually tell you what's happening.

ill agree with that chip off ebay scrap best getting chipped ecu then take it to get rolling roaded and have them install the ecu and let them remap it easyier that way

most of those chips are mapped for a td05 arnt they (found on the saloons) your wrx wagon has a td04.

no not a latvia one it was off subaru123_123.
told him what ecu and turbo and what car but still not good.
i will give him his dues though, he's said i can send it back if im not happy with it.

That said, have you cut the 'J' link and reset the ecu after fitting??

double check with him you have the map to suit the td04 turbo and also what spark plugs u running atm?

who installed the chip as well but tbh it would not run at all if fitted badly.
i bought mine from eclipse and its been spot on car runs like a dream
plus i am a experienced pcb solderer so fitting was no prob lol
