Default Power mods for 06 2.5

Hi all, looking for more power from my 06 2.5 WRX PPP, already had a cat back H/S, any suggestions ? dont have a massive budget, around £700

remap will see you to about 270~280bhp and 340lb torque.

Chuck a decat downpipe on there too and panel filter to see more of a power band.

cheers mate already up at 270 with the PPP, how much for the work you mentioned mate ?

the ppp doesn't normally quite run 270..

there is only a small amount in power on the standard turbo to gain at peak power.. the increase in powerband and the torque increase is the huge gain.

Basically the turbo is out of puff at late 5000s rpm.. so little to gain above that rpm where the peak is like 6100rpm roughly.

EcuTek remap is £550+VAT.

decat downpipe are around £200 so blows your budget.

One very nice upgrade on the 2.5 WRX is to fit the STi turbo and a remap..
they then produce 340~350bhp and similar torque.. adding the Sti intercooler is also a good move.. as you already have the same size injectors as the sti and the AVCS heads.

340-350 bhp on wrx...nice....how about our 5speed gearbox ? will take that torque without problems?

I have a gb270 that i put on the rollers at the weekend that was 288/365 and mine fine.

Newage 5speeds seem to take to about 350bhp and similar torque.
